MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY 2009 As part of the nationwide Make a Difference Day 2009, the Volunteer Center of the United Way will be sponsoring the Giolai Girls Leadership Summit: My Self, My Friends, My World on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Darlene Roderiguez from WNBC news will be the morning keynote speaker. Volunteers and sponsors still needed for this event. We are in need of speakers for the break-out sessions, donations for the goodie bags and organizations that recruit teen volunteers. Special thanks to Mercy College for hosting the event at their Dobbs Ferry campus.
